Chef – French Cuisine (Chef de Partie)

Location: Tabac, Exmouth Market, London

Hours: 5 days per week, approx. 3pm–close

Pay: £14/hour + £5–6/hour service charge

Total: ~£19–20/hour (£39k–£41k annual equivalent)

Hands-on French cooking in a small, quality-led kitchen. No gimmicks. Proper food, done well.

Responsibilities

Prep and cook classic French dishes during service

Run your section cleanly and efficiently

Maintain hygiene, food safety, and stock rotation

Support service during busy periods

Work calmly under pressure in a tight kitchen

Requirements

Experience as Chef de Partie or strong Line Chef

Solid understanding of French cuisine

Fast, organised, and reliable

Team-focused, no ego
