Traditional Country Pub (Full & Part Time Positions Available)

The Skimmington Castle is a busy, family-run traditional country pub serving freshly prepared, classic English food. We’re looking for enthusiastic and reliable chefs who enjoy working as part of a close-knit team in a friendly environment where everyone mucks in and our regulars are greeted by name.

This is not a live-in position, and we are unable to offer sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Preparing and cooking high-quality traditional pub dishes.
• Maintaining excellent food hygiene and cleanliness standards at all times.
• Ensuring the kitchen consistently meets Environmental Health Officer (EHO) standards.
• Managing stock, food preparation and minimising waste.
• Keeping the kitchen clean, organised and ready for service.
• Working closely with the front-of-house team to deliver a great customer experience.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a professional kitchen.
• A full UK driving licence and access to your own transport, as our rural location is not easily accessible by public transport.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and bank holidays.
• Some split shifts may be required.
• Breakfast service begins at 9:30am.
• We are closed on Monday and Tuesday evenings, offering a better work-life balance than many hospitality roles.
